I feel sick...
I wish I could capture the feeling I have right now and remember it the next time I’m “hungry.” I overate like crazy tonight. Well, let me rephrase, I overate tonight. I thought I was hungry so I kept eating…and now I’m at a point where I’m STUFFED and feel sick. Ugh. Tomorrow, light salad and lots and lots of water. Prep time for a HUGE dinner that I’ll...
MY GO TO SITE →
I use this site to track all of my food and get an accurate count of my calories for the day.
Work-Out #3
Today I had PT (Physical Therapy) and it went pretty well. Only did about 5 minutes on the bike and 5 minutes on the stair master, but I did a lot of strengthening. Over all a good workout, and not a lot of knee pain.
Snacks and Dinner
Okay, so tonight I went a little out of control. I still stayed in my calorie range, but I ate more than I should. Over the past 4 hours or so I have had two lean cuisines, a string cheese, and a nutri-grain bar. NO MORE EATING FOR TODAY! LOL.
Minor Victory
So this might sounds silly to most but probably the thing I’m the most proud of in this 72 hour diet would be that I’m not giving into the little cheats! Normally I’ll have a french fry, a mini ice cream cone, something. This time though—no cheating.
Lunch
So I was a good girl again for yet another meal. Typical employee dining room salad and then some steamed broccoli and a little bit of beef and veggies from the fajita line (NO tortilla). I also had about half of an orange.
Weigh-In #4
So I’m not going to let myself be bummed out that I am now only -1.2 pounds total. The giant weight loss yesterday must have been a fluke—maybe I was dehydrated. Still, I’m down, and that’s what matters. I think from now on I’m only going to weigh myself twice a week. Wednesdays and Sundays. Otherwise I just get too crazy. I’m exited for biggest loser...
Dinner
Well another dinner out for me and I continue to impress myself. Only drank water, and lots of it. Started with a garden salad: lettuce, tomato, cucumbers and a little balsamic vinaigrette. No croutons, no cheese, and obviously no bacon. Dinner was chicken fajitas. I debated not having the tortillas but I couldn’t go that far. Still only veggies and chicken. I’m now full and very...
Lunch
Lunch was a delicious salad from whole foods. Not quite sure of the calories, but it was delicious. I think I’ll try to add up the calories now. Here’s what was in the salad: Romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, raisins, craisins, mandarin oranges, green peppers, corn, peas, two eggs and a little balsamic vinegar. No croutons! Victory! (UPDATE: According to live strong.com the...
Breakfast
Well, I did it again: 1 cup of corn flakes and .5 cup of skim milk. I have a feeling that I’ll have a pretty big lunch though. Maybe a frozen Lean Cuisine or something of the sort. The plan is to grab dinner with a friend and watch football and then play some poker. I think I’ll be okay not drinking beer—after all I haven’t had any in a while. I’ll drink water after...
Weight-In #3
Well, I guess being SUPER good yesterday allowed me to be a little bad last night and still pull out good numbers. Today I weighed in at XXX.X - 2.6. This means I’m down a total of 2.6 pounds, and another 1.6 pounds from yesterday. I have a feeling this number will go up a little. My goal would be to consistently lose (and keep off) about 1-2 pounds a week. 2.6 pounds in two days isn’t...
Dinner...Out
So, I was all set to make myself a frozen dinner and watch the Chiefs get beat-up by the Steelers…BUT…a friend of mine suggested we do dinner and a movie, and I’m not one to say no to a friend! I must admit, I overate at dinner. Yummy brisket and corned beef, and then of course a couple of bites of dessert. But, what I didn’t do was eat any of the complimentary popcorn that...
Grocery Shopping
I’m very proud to announce that even going through every isle in the grocery store, I did not buy any “cheating” foods. The worst I bought was diet soda and Kellogg’s Special K Chocolatey Delight cereal…which is a weakness of mine. But hey, as long as I have the will power to measure out 1 cup at a time for dessert, that’s okay!
Lunch
Lunch today was about 1/2 of a cucumber, 3.5 ounces of roast beef, and a can of diet cherry coke. That’s 181 calories. Yeah…I’m pretty sure I’ll be posting Lunch #2 / Snack very shortly.
Work Out #2
5 Flights of Stairs Up and 5 Flights of Stairs Down. Holding anywhere from 5-10 pounds in weights. Total time took about 5 minutes. Knee pain: 7.
Well, my knee has been achy all morning. Still, I went out grocery shopping and made 5 tough trips up the stairs holding heavy groceries. I am therefore calling “unloading my car” workout #2. Hey, the doc told me to do a stair master....
Breakfast
So I just made myself a bowl of cereal. I normally do this for breakfast on my days off. The only difference, was this time I measured my cereal. Do you know what a cup of cereal looks like? NOTHING. I must have been consuming 2-3 servings of cereal every time I made myself breakfast. I think that’s probably the best lesson I take away when I go back on my diets: PORTION CONTROL. But as...
Weigh-In #2
Well would you look at that. A little work-out and a lot of watching what I ate and I now weigh XXX.X - 1.0. Down one pound. I know those numbers won’t continue…and I know that right now it’s a mix of water weight and shock to my body, but it’s still nice to see some results. Should I weigh myself every day? Every other day? Twice a week? I guess I’ll see how my...
Dinner
Oh, I kind of had dinner en route tonight, but it was still relatively healthy. Cappriotti’s home-made roast beef sandwich (re: non-processed) with lettuce. I have to guesstimate the calories when I get home, but I don’t think it could have been too bad.
Reason #1 I know I'm Committed
I’m currently at a movie…by myself… And still not eating popcorn. This is for real.
BMI (Body Mass Index)
My BMI is 25.9 apparently 24.9 puts me in the normal range. Obtainable goal…I think so!
Seated Leg Curls
3 sets of 10 reps at 30lbs. Knee Pain: 2.
Elliptical
3.5 minutes. 37 calories burned. Knee Pain: 8. (I had to stop)
Stand-Up Bike
10 minutes. 30 calories burned. Knee Pain: 2.
Recumbent Bike
10 minutes. 30 calories burned. Knee Pain: 0.
Work out #1
So I figure on this workout date…the first legit workout in 3+ months, I’m going to try a little bit of everything and I’ll see what feels the best and gives me the biggest burn. I’m thinking a mix of Recumbent Bike, Stand-Up Bike, an Elliptical. Of course I’m going to have to do some leg curls for strengthening too.
Weigh-In #1
I wish I could tell you that I had the confidence to post my weight up here and let you all watch me as I get (hopefully) skinnier…but I’m not quite sure I’m there yet. So for now my official weigh-in is: XXX.X. (I know, three digits…such a heifer! KIDDING!!!)
Making it Official
The amount of times that I have started a diet or work-out plan and not finished it is COUNTLESS. So, in an effort to hold myself accountable, I am starting a new blog: “Eat Right and Work Out” I’m hoping that the tumblr-verse will hold me accountable and force me to stay on top of my game. I think there is a lot to be said about writing things down and having someone to answer...
